If you need a road surface with good levels of endurance, which are stable, and which are easily maintained, then asphalt is the best choice. In Estonia the first road section in asphalt was built in 1924. Today asphalt is the most widespread surface used in the building of highways and urban roads. TREV-2 Grupp Plc companies have long-term experience in building and laying asphalt surfaces. During the whole of the group’s active history, we have been amongst most successful companies in the field of asphalt production and laying in Estonia. We bring new technologies and techniques to the country and we adopt these in our production processes. On the basis of experience accumulated over many years we can suggest to the customer solutions that have the highest levels of quality and cost. The best possible result is ensured when we have the chance to build all of the constructive parts of any road surface.

There are three companies in the group that are engaged in asphalt production and laying: Teede REV-2 Plc, ABT Revador Plc, and Kagu Teed Plc (the last two being Põlva Teed Plc and Valga Teed Ltd respectively).

There is long-term experience behind the motto contained in the group’s quality and environmental policy: “smooth roads for a longer time”, which states that a road surface that has been produced and laid by us is going to last through difficult conditions and despite large volumes of traffic. In general, the guarantee period for road surfaces in Estonia is two years. Teede REV-2 Plc also provides a ten-year guarantee as well, and time has shown that during the last nine years no problems that could be caused by unevenness, subsidence or cracks have appeared on the Vaidla-Aruvalla road section on the Tartu highway in the direction of Tartu. This is a clear sign that we can successfully use in practice the craftsmanship that we have accumulated over many years.

The group has modern, mobile plants with a large technical capacity that allows us to produce various asphalt mixes all over Estonia. TREV-2 Grupp Plc’s branch companies have six asphalt mixers (three of which are mobile) with productivity levels of between 40-250 tonnes per hour. The newest mixer was brought into use in 2010. According to these figures we are the producer of asphalt mixes with the biggest technical potential in Estonia.

The group has also made its contribution to updating surface treatment technologies. In 2005 a modern equipment complex for the production of bitumen emulsions was opened in Tsirguliina, Valga County. The production of emulsions allows us to adopt road building technologies that are economical and suitable for our climate, that are more friendly for the environment, and that need less energy to be able to produce them.
